New competition year has started and our team received once again, very nice invitation to visit adidas company!

They have prepared us nice program. First, we listen an interesting presentation of company history and future vision. Than they introduced us new team clothes for coming year and prepared full bag of brand new clothes and shoes for each one of us!!! :D

After all, we had little quiz and because I have been listen very carefully I won totally new and very nice sunglasses :)

Climbing wall in Sežana

Maybe some of you have already noticed, but for all rest, it is true - in Slovenia we have got new climbing wall. It is placed in small town Sežana near coast, just about 15minutes from Mišja peč/Osp, so it is also very nice solution for those, who are maybe sometimes willing to climb outdoor, but weather just isn't good enough. So, perfect for indoor training, winter or also (too) hot summer days, because place is also well air conditioned :).

On approximately 300m2 of climbing walls place is offering good climbing conditions for all. Main boulder wall is about 5m height and with different types of overhangs, edges and slabs suitable for for recreation, training and as well high-level climbing. But, there is also a place with wall, more suitable for children, beginners and warming-up.

So, for all who are curious about it, you are nicely invited to visit it on THIS location, currently every day from 17.00 - 22.00.

2nd and 3rd place on CISM

So, as a very fresh (and proud :) ) member of Slovenian armed forces I have already chance to took a part on my first 'World winter military games' in Annecy. Those games took part every 3 years and are unique and important military event.

We competed in lead, speed and boudler. In lead after qualifications and semifinal there were more girls who have topped all routes (Maja, Jana, Evgenia and me), but in finals there were little things, like, clipping and time decided about winner and following places. Victory went to Evgenia alamid, 3^rd to Yana Chereshneva and 4^th to Maja Vidmar....

In bouldering Anna Stohr confirm her good shape, following by Evgenia Malamid and me on 3^rd. By guy's it was also really good day for Slovenian Klemen Bečan who took a 1^st place in lead and 3^rd in  ouldering! For more results, click here!

After 1st bouldering WC – not really good strat, but ...

So, first bouldering WC took a place in Chongqing in China and I this time I really can not said I am satisfied with it. I actually do not care so much about result and fact that I have missed a finals for quite much, but what is bothering me is, that I have climbed bad. And that this climb was quite far from what I think I am able to do at the moment.

So, I think that there is nothing else to do, as to stay positive, focused, go to train and prepare for next challenges! :)

Year has come across and we are already again back in China! For few days, me, Jernej Kruder and my coach will acclimating and climbing in Beijing and than move to Chongqing, where will be start of first bouldering WC competition this year (22nd -23rd of March). Can't wait! :)

Bloudkova nagrada - highest national award for sport in Slovenia

Well, maybe this news is not so important for all non-Slovenian residents, but for me and climbing in Slovenia it is really big and nice achievement.

Stanko Bloudek was an important and impressive sport person in Slovenia and highest national sport recognition is named by him. It is also an event with long tradition, started already in 1965. An interesting fact is also, that individual can get this award just once in a life.

So, I admit, that recieve this award was big, important and nice award for my last year's results and it means lot to me! It was also nice evening, which will stay in my memmories for a while …

But now – go climbing again! :D

Training in Stuttgart Climbmax … and home :)

Well, for everyone who is maybe asking what is happening with me last months, I can tell, that everything is like it should be. Already early in January I have started with preparation for new season, this time with focus on lead and boulder :). More details about competition calendar for 2013 you can see here.

For my opinion everything is going like it should. Skin is (often) gone and broken, muscles and body tired, but motivation on the top and every day I am more thankful that I can climb again! :D

With team we are often climbing together around different gyms in Slovenia, but at the beginning of February it was time for part of our team for first training trip on lactation in which I have already 'fall in love' in December at our fist visit – Climbmax gym in Stuttgart! We've spend there 4 really nice and quality climbing days and I was pretty sad that it pass so fast... I would also like to give big thanks to working team there for all hospitality! (can't wait to come back soon!)
